Booking Alert: The Brand-New Cabins at Fort Wilderness

Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground Poster

The all-new Cabins at Fort Wilderness are getting ready to open for booking!

Fort Wilderness has long been the ideal spot for Disney guests looking for some quiet, fun and relaxation. Nestled among the pine trees, it feels far away from it all- but it's actually closer than you think to the theme parks, water parks and Disney Springs.

And now, the beloved cabins are being completely replaced, with new structures offering all the comforts of your cozy cabin in the woods, plus some modern touches you will appreciate.

Each cabin sleeps six, with a queen bed and bunk beds in the bedroom, and a double pull-down Murphy bed in the living room. You have a full kitchen, too, with a fridge, cooktop, dishwasher, toaster, coffeemaker, convection microwave oven and all the pots, pans, dishes and utensils you need- so be sure we've arranged groceries for your vacation! There's even a charcoal grill outside your private deck, so you can enjoy a cookout before heading to the pool or the parks.

Would you love a look inside? Me too! Let's take a peek at 5 details waiting for you inside the cabins:

All the Fort Wilderness activities you love are waiting for you, too! Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue dinner show, horseback riding, archery, campfires and singalongs with Chip n' Dale, swimming, fishing, canoeing and more are right on site.

And when you're ready to venture to the theme parks, Fort Wilderness offers boat service to the Magic Kingdom, and bus service to the other theme parks, water parks and Disney Springs.

New for 2024! The Cabins at Fort Wilderness will include Extended Evening Theme Park Hours! On select nights, guests staying at the Cabins get to stay in the theme parks for two hours past closing- which is a great time to enjoy your favorite rides with little to no wait times! (And feel like a VIP!)

These new cabins will available for you beginning July 1, 2024. Booking will open:

  • March 19th for DVC Members

  • March 20th for Annual Passholders

  • March 21st for everyone!

If you don't want to have to sit on hold, or in a virtual waiting room to book your reservation, let your vacation fairy take care of it for you! I'm available every step of the planning process, and I will make sure you have everything you need to have your best Disney vacation! I'd love to chat with you about your dream Disney vacation- set up a time for us to talk here.

While Fort Wilderness has a fun and welcoming vibe, it is definitely not the same as staying at a Disney Resort Hotel for your vacation! As part of the rustic charm and being farther away from it all, it will take you longer to get to the theme parks. A golf cart rental is a must, and a car will make your stay easier, as well. A stay at the Cabins at Fort Wilderness is definitely for those who like to take it slow, enjoy some family time, and love being surrounded by nature. (And don't mind all sharing one bathroom.)

If you're not sure whether the Cabins at Fort Wilderness are right for your next Disney vacation, let's chat about it! Schedule a complimentary phone or Zoom planning session with me, and we can talk through the pros and cons, and find you the perfect place to stay.
